Stowa: Airman 36 without Logo

Pilot’s Watch In Retro Look For The Anniversary

Stowa celebrates its 90th anniversary with a variety of limited special editions. One of them is the airline 36 without logo. Since 1927, Stowa has been continuously building watches. In 1997 the watch brand from the Schwarzwald began producing pilot watches in the style of the historical models from the 1930s and 1940s.

According to Vaultedwatches.com, the airman 36 without logo works either with the manual hoist Eta 2804-2 or theautomatic caliber Eta 2824-2. Both works can be seen through the screwed sight. The stainless steel case comes to a diameter of 36 millimeters. The special feature of the watch limited to 90 pieces is the dial. This is black matt lacquered and white printed. The blued hands and the white print were covered with light in Old Radium. This beige color is similar to the now naturally aged dials of the historical flyer clocks from the 1940s.

Stowa also relied on the design of the leather band. The brown leather is equipped with two rivets for added security, and the close end can also be inserted into a metal bracket. The Flieger Klassik 36 without logo will be delivered from May 2017 onwards. The hand-held version costs 1,140 euros, with automatic drive it is 20 euros less. Both versions appear in a limited edition of 90 copies each. For fans of larger watches there will be the classic flying without a logo also in the 40-millimeter-case, of which the automatic version is already available from March 2017. The prices are the same as for the small version. There will be the Flieger Klassik 40 without logo also with date display and automatic movement. This costs 1,120 euros and can be purchased from March 2017.
