Sense Special Watches: 910 Anniversary–Baselworld

A wheel chronograph on 55 years of sense watches!

This year, Sinn special watches celebrates its 55-year-old company existence. On this occasion the Frankfurt brand launches its 910 anniversary. The special feature of the chronograph, which is presented on the Baselworld 2016, is its construction. The automatic movement ETA-Valjoux 7750 of La Joux-Perret has made sense, so that the stop function is now controlled by a gear wheel. The Valjoux 7750 is the best known and most widely used Chronographenkaliber with a backdrop circuit. In addition, the 910 Jubilee also features a drag-pointer function: If the chronograph is started, a second stop hand is initially not visible with the first one. When the pusher is pressed at eight o’clock, the second hand stops and an intermediate time can be read, while the first hand continues undeterred. With a new press, the drag pointer picks up the stop hand and continues to run in sync with it.

Wheel chronographs were the historical first stop watches. For this reason special clocks also shape the dial of his Jubilee model with a nostalgic flair. On an elevated dial edge is a scale. The modernity is found in the technical equipment of the 41.5 millimeter-sized steel watch: vacuum safe, pressure-proof to ten bar (tested according to DIN), antimagnetic and shock-proof, the chronograph can not be shaken so quickly. It is delivered in a case with leather and solid band for 5,500 euros. The edition is limited to 300 pieces. mg
