Ladies Watches Extreme: 3 Copies for Wild Things

The snake on the wrist

Wild and dangerous, exotic and seductive: The female wrist winds this summer so many snakes–for the purpose of time display. Here are three extreme ladies watches.

Watch #1 for wild tigers: Bulgari Serpenti Spiga

The Schlangenuhr has a remarkable tradition, founded in the 1950s by Bulgari. At that time, the Roman Juweliershaus the first serpenti clocks, the flexible body of which snaked around the arm of the wearer, while their heads in the form of rounded triangles showed the period. The Serpenti fit perfectly into the era of the great divas of the Fifties, but their great feat was to survive the decades. Today the Schlangenuhr is the heart of the Bulgari Women’s Watch collection – and comes in numerous variants. One of the newest is the Serpenti Spiga. The snake body is made of black ceramics and surrounds the quartz eta e 01.001, but ringelt in the usual flexibility with the Bulgari-own Tubogas bracelet around the wrist. The head and tail tip are made of gold in the quartz-powered ceramic reptile; Diamond rows run on the sides of the 35 millimeter-sized snake head. The price: 9,950 euro.

Watch #2 for wild tigers: Ulysse Nardin Royal python skeleton tourbillon

The Royal Python Skeleton Tourbillon by Ulysse Nardin, an 18-piece limited-edition tourbillon, combines snake-style aesthetics and watchmaking excellence. The in-house and skeleton hand winding unit un-170 fits in a remarkable way into the overall design of the 44 millimeter-sized Roségolduhr, which stands entirely in line with the snake: the drawing of the Pythonlederarmbands is based on the elaborately hand-painted Surface of some of the visible work elements – a real wow effect. Watch #3 for wild tigers: Bomberg Bolt-68 Pink Ora

Cool, fashionable and a bit martial is the bolt-68 pink Ora by Bomberg: A quartz chronograph with caliber Ronda 3540. D in the Roségolden PVD coated stainless steel case. The structure of the leather band with Pythonoptik harmonises with the plaid relief of the housing edge, which gives the watch a schlangenhaftes refinement. Like all models from the bolt collection, these can be turned into a pocket watch in a jiffy: The 44 millimeter-sized enclosure is separated from its base and attached to a supplied chain. Also delightful, but significantly less snake-detention. The price: 1,185 euro. Mbe
