So far a statistic to the global smartphone market was published by Kantar Worldpanel each quarter, now numbers for the wearable area will be published but also every three months. The first data now reveal that only 5.4 percent of all Germans have a fitness Tracker or a Smartwatch, whereas whole 12.2 percent in the United States.

Especially in the United States, the significantly more favourable and already longer available fitness tracker sell better than the expensive Samsung Gear Smartwatches, which often hit with several hundred U.S. Dolalr to beech. So, Apple in the United States currently has a market share of 6.8 percent, while the company is responsible for 61.7 percent of all wearables Fitbit, whose quarterly figures disappointed a few days ago.

In the EU, Smartwatches seem to have overtaken the fitness Tracker however. In this country the smart watches currently represent 55.2 percent of all wearables – only 22.9 percent in the United States.
